Ryder is 4 Months!!!

I can't believe he is 4 months already!





His 3m & 4m pictures don't look much different.  Haha










I have him in the same outfit that Caden wore at 4 months.  He will not be able to wear that onesie again.  Ugh!  I'm so mad- that was one of my favorite outfits of Caden's.





He isn't even that much bigger than Caden at this age.  Ryder measured in at 16 lbs  3.5 oz.  and at 2' 1.75".  His head was 43 cm.

He is always smiling!  I love it.




He likes the feeling of falling (gonna like roller coasters- yay!).  He is almost about to roll over from his back.  And when you put him on his belly he brings his knees in already.  The boy wants to move.  He is a strong one.

The poor little dude suffers from eczema like his brother and daddy.  We have it under control now.  Took a visit to the dermatologist and he also has a mastocytoma.  That is not cool.  It's on his inner right arm.  So I have to make sure he always has on loose clothing, avoid friction in that area (that's gonna be difficult), avoid overheating, blah blah!  I'm freaking out!!

We haven't had his birthday party yet.  But here is his annual picture next to Nipper.  He looks so big!  But he is only in the 23rd percentile for weight. And I think 60th for height.

The Easter Bunny hid Caden's basket outside this year.




Inside his eggs were Fruit Loops.  He wanted to open each egg before going onto finding the next.  "Ain't nobody got time for that."

I tried to get a cute Easter picture of the two of them.  Didn't get what I was looking for, but they are still cute anyway.

easter egg hunt & decorating

So we were talking the other day about how we can't wait to see Ryder's personality!  But I think he already has it.  The baby LOVES looking at himself in the mirror and is ALWAYS smiling.  He also loves to get his picture taken.  Caden also loves to look at himself in the mirror. (wonder where they got that?)  Last night, Caden was playing with me & Ryder but watched himself in the mirror as he was doing it.  HaHa

Anyway, I think these 2 pictures pretty much show their personalities:



Ryder is a little model.  And Caden is a thinker.  If you know the two of them, you know that is spot on! ha.  They both are little entertainers like their mom & aunt Bim.

Decorating eggs this year was funny.  He did well.  The only problem was that he kept cracking the eggs from literally throwing them in the colors.




And here he is pretending to eat the egg.  Just like he does at breakfast time.  Pretends to eat, which explains why he is still 25 pounds.

Saturday was the Easter Egg Hunt.  It was so cute.  We played on the playground for a little bit while they set up.  The Jaycees had a little carnival ride there for the kiddos.  I wondered if he would be too young for it. And as I thought about it, he watched the train go round & round.  A line was forming for the next group and when they all started walking in, he followed.  Just completely walked away from where we were standing.  He knew.  He was ready for this ride.  So I said, "well I guess he's going."  I waited for him to realize what was going on and to run away from the ride back to me.  But no.  The boy has no fear.  He wanted to go on.  (That's my boy!)  It was the cutest thing.  Wish I had it on film. Hard to take video & pictures by myself.








He collected a lot of eggs!





Next year he will be in the next age group!  Oh man!  :(





He just sat in the ride.  No facial expression the whole time.  So I don't know if he enjoyed it.  I asked him as we were walking away & he said he had fun.  Haha.  He held onto his basket for most of the ride, then set it down nicely & put his hands on his lap.  At one point, he turned around to the girls behind them.  Just soaked it all in.

Caden is TWO!

His birthday is on the 22nd, but Jimmy had to work that day, so we celebrated a day early!



He sat so patiently waiting for his gifts.  When Jimmy brought over the big box- he flipped!




I had a bucket filled with Hand-me-downs.  He loves them all.  Some are from when I was a kid and some are from a friend.  I love watching him play with the toys that I loved playing with.  And it's cool, bc now I have a legit excuse to play with them again.  Hey Little People are sweet!


A lot of toys need batteries, so he already has that word in his vocabulary.  It doesn't exactly sound like "battery"but one night, I said something needed batteries (I didn't want to turn it on bc he had to go to bed).  So now, every night he said "Bi-Yee" and points to the cool mist nightlight.  HA!

We turned it on that night.






Still need to find some more of the Little People collection I had.  Oh and those pretend foods....we had these cupcakes that smelled like chocolate.  After 24 years, they still smell like they did when Kim & I were little!!!!  That is a quality toy!  Probably painted with lead paint, too!





He wasn't shy at all when we sang Happy Birthday to him.  He was soooo excited!  Then Jimmy brought over his dessert with the candles and he had the cutest smile.  He was so happy.  He tried to touch the flame on the candle but Jimmy yelled, "NO! Don't touch!"  I kinda just kept snapping pictures.  haha




He blew out the candles on his own!  I hope he made a wish.  I love asking him how old his is.  He says, "two," so matter of factly.  (eh it should be a word)

Caden trying "finger paint" for the first time.  I don't count it as true finger painting, bc it was "mess-free"   He couldn't wait for us to open it, so he tried getting into it on his own.










Also, he wasn't a huge fan of getting it on his hands.




Ryder is a super happy baby!  He is so adorable!!!  Jimmy & Caden have a "thing" already.  Kinda like a new tradition.  When Daddy gets home, they put all of the loose change he collected at work into the parking meter bank.  Caden is now old enough to reach the top!!!
