Ryder's 2nd attempt at baby food.  Not so good.  He did really well today though!   Kim & Caden are playing games on her iPad.

Ryder is rolling all over the place.  He started planking, I'm pretty sure he is going to be on the move really soon!  He cracks me up because he is so easily entertained.  You just look at him and he laughs.  Love it.  He sits up on his own pretty well.  He also holds his own bottle now, so feeding is easy!  We tried rice cereal twice so far.  He isn't ready for it.  Just pushes it out with his tongue.  He stands in his walker, loves to play with his toes, chew on his thumb, and play with toys.  He has the cutest laugh!!!

Caden had his 2nd birthday party on Sunday! Pictures coming soon.  He talks a lot and loves to play & eat outside.  He can count to 20 & knows his ABC's, shapes & colors.  It's cute to hear him say certain words.  I like watching the learning process.  Yesterday, he played ALL day in his pool.

So, he never climbed out of his crib, but with the broken femur under his belt- - we didn't want to risk it.

Big Boy Bed Time!



He was so excited about his new bed.  It only took us 5 minutes to switch out.  I was afraid that he wouldn't sleep in it and just stay up and play all night.  We tested it out for his nap that day.  He did really well.  Went right to sleep.










We tuck him in at night and he clings onto his seahorse.  He has a load of stuffed animals in his bed.  And when we get him in the morning, he is quietly playing with either his stacking cups, trains, or  reading a book.  I guess the transition went well.  :)


Now that track is over, I will be able to focus on potty training!  We are starting the day after his party!!!!

Since he was 18 months we have had his little potty in the bathroom, so he can see it and sit on it if he wanted.  Just a slow intro.  We have tried sitting him on there with no diaper only a few times.  And no results yet.

When this picture was taken, he sat on there for about 20 minutes playing on my phone.  And STILL no results. Haha




We are going to do the 1 M&M for peeing on the potty and 2 for pooping.  He does NOT get any if nothing comes out.  If he tries to go, he gets a stamp.  He is really excited about it, I hope it goes as well as the toddler bed transition did.

We are in the middle of moving & selling our house, so there is a lot going on.  That will make all of this just that much harder.  So far so good!

I can't believe he is 5 months old

Uh oh, he has that goofy smile that Jimmy does!  Haha.  He is so much fun.  Except from 6pm-9pm.  All he does is scream & cry then.  During the rest of the day, he is AWESOME!  He smiles & giggles at everything.   He loves watching his older brother play.  Caden will go over to him and play with him for a few as well.  As you can see, he found his toes.  Always grabbing for them.




He sits up really well now.  Still spits up a lot when on his belly, though.  He's strong, too.  He stands up in his walker for long periods of time.

We tried giving him some rice cereal from a spoon the other night.  He didn't like it as much as I thought he would.  LOL  I'll post those pictures soon.



I was putting lotion on him yesterday and I noticed that he is really thinning out.  He is LONG & LEAN.  He wears mostly 6-9m clothes.  But I think 9m works well.  Depends on the item.  We had to go shopping for him the other day, bc Caden's old clothes are the wrong season for Ryder.  Stuff Caden wore at this time was for a 3m old.  Yeah....that won't fit a 5m old!  At least not this nug.

He is still really ticklish.  The mastocytoma on his arm is doing well I guess.  It hasn't blistered since we found out what it is.  So we must be doing something right!  :)  I hope it goes away sooner than later though, so I don't have to worry about it anymore!  That shirt he is wearing was Caden's.  It's sized 6m.  I don't think he will be able to wear it again.  Haha.  Look how short the arms are.

Ryder is 4 Months!!!

I can't believe he is 4 months already!





His 3m & 4m pictures don't look much different.  Haha










I have him in the same outfit that Caden wore at 4 months.  He will not be able to wear that onesie again.  Ugh!  I'm so mad- that was one of my favorite outfits of Caden's.





He isn't even that much bigger than Caden at this age.  Ryder measured in at 16 lbs  3.5 oz.  and at 2' 1.75".  His head was 43 cm.

He is always smiling!  I love it.




He likes the feeling of falling (gonna like roller coasters- yay!).  He is almost about to roll over from his back.  And when you put him on his belly he brings his knees in already.  The boy wants to move.  He is a strong one.

The poor little dude suffers from eczema like his brother and daddy.  We have it under control now.  Took a visit to the dermatologist and he also has a mastocytoma.  That is not cool.  It's on his inner right arm.  So I have to make sure he always has on loose clothing, avoid friction in that area (that's gonna be difficult), avoid overheating, blah blah!  I'm freaking out!!

We haven't had his birthday party yet.  But here is his annual picture next to Nipper.  He looks so big!  But he is only in the 23rd percentile for weight. And I think 60th for height.

The Easter Bunny hid Caden's basket outside this year.




Inside his eggs were Fruit Loops.  He wanted to open each egg before going onto finding the next.  "Ain't nobody got time for that."

So we were talking the other day about how we can't wait to see Ryder's personality!  But I think he already has it.  The baby LOVES looking at himself in the mirror and is ALWAYS smiling.  He also loves to get his picture taken.  Caden also loves to look at himself in the mirror. (wonder where they got that?)  Last night, Caden was playing with me & Ryder but watched himself in the mirror as he was doing it.  HaHa

Anyway, I think these 2 pictures pretty much show their personalities:



Ryder is a little model.  And Caden is a thinker.  If you know the two of them, you know that is spot on! ha.  They both are little entertainers like their mom & aunt Bim.

Decorating eggs this year was funny.  He did well.  The only problem was that he kept cracking the eggs from literally throwing them in the colors.




And here he is pretending to eat the egg.  Just like he does at breakfast time.  Pretends to eat, which explains why he is still 25 pounds.

Saturday was the Easter Egg Hunt.  It was so cute.  We played on the playground for a little bit while they set up.  The Jaycees had a little carnival ride there for the kiddos.  I wondered if he would be too young for it. And as I thought about it, he watched the train go round & round.  A line was forming for the next group and when they all started walking in, he followed.  Just completely walked away from where we were standing.  He knew.  He was ready for this ride.  So I said, "well I guess he's going."  I waited for him to realize what was going on and to run away from the ride back to me.  But no.  The boy has no fear.  He wanted to go on.  (That's my boy!)  It was the cutest thing.  Wish I had it on film. Hard to take video & pictures by myself.








He collected a lot of eggs!





Next year he will be in the next age group!  Oh man!  :(





He just sat in the ride.  No facial expression the whole time.  So I don't know if he enjoyed it.  I asked him as we were walking away & he said he had fun.  Haha.  He held onto his basket for most of the ride, then set it down nicely & put his hands on his lap.  At one point, he turned around to the girls behind them.  Just soaked it all in.
