Ok, got the birth announcements out! Ryder is officially here! 25 days old! It feels like Caden was sleeping thru the night at this point, but I looked back at old posts & it turns out, they are about the same! The weird part: as a new mom with Caden, I thought it was awesome that he only got up at 3am. This time, I'm like ahhhh why won't Ryder sleep????
He has already had two nights of 6.5 hours straight and one night of 5 hours. LOL Yet I'm still looking for more sleep. He usually goes to bed around midnight, gets up at 4am then again at 9:30-10. Thing is, in the middle of the night he doesn't go back to sleep until 5:30. So being up for an hour & a half kinda kills ya.
We tried the bassinet, didn't like it. So we tried the bouncer. That worked! But it got to the point where we just thought it was time to try the crib. That worked just as well as the bouncer, but still not great. So one night we were desperate and put the swing in our room. Bingo!
I'm debating on trying the crib again....tonight. Kinda nervous, but he needs to get used to sleeping in there.
Caden has been awesome with all of this! He helps me out, too, which is great. Jimmy asked me last night, if it has hit me that we have 2 kids now. I said yes, but Ryder still seems like he isn't really here. Because newborns don't do anything. So I think as soon as he starts moving and doing more things I will be in shock and realize that OMG I REALLY DO HAVE 2 KIDS!
