9 weeks

I put Caden on his belly for some "tummy time" and of course he eventually fell asleep. He is on his fisher price activity mat. I came back & he is facing the opposite direction. He spun his body around on his belly in a 180º turn! Instead of facing the tv he is now facing the couch! good work little man!

Now he is fartin' & suckin' on his fingers. Guess I better hurry & heat up his bottle before he freaks out! haha

Let's Go to the Zoo!

Caden's first visit to the zoo! We got a membership, so I plan on going a few times this year.

Whew! That was a long day!

Afterwards we came home to some food! My mom made a cake and of course I didn't get a picture of it. I have a feeling, I'm going to miss a lot of photo ops when we have people over. :( Case in point, I didn't get a SINGLE picture at our house. Too busy working. I also didn't even get to talk to anyone. Not a single conversation. I hope everyone had a good time. :/

2 Months & 3 Days

We took Cade to the middle school & high school yesterday. He was a HIT! Teachers were leaving their classrooms just to come out and see the little guy. And he soaked it all in. A bunch of my girls stopped in between classes and Caden just sat there smiling at them with a grin from ear to ear. His eyes were even sparkling. I swear he was putting on a show for them. It was amazing. We tried enrolling him in the high school, too.

It was pretty cool. Then after our walk with Nicole & Bailey, Jimmy & him were chillin' and he was ACTUALLY laughing & cooing! It was the coolest thing so far!

He is now taking a nap after sleeping really well last night. I have SOOOOO much to do today, so I appreciate the fact that he is taking a nap!

I have at least 200 pictures to go through sometime to post.

I'm trying to get to them. I at least uploaded them to the comp today! Baby steps....literally.

1 month, 3 weeks, 2 days...

WOW! It's incredible to think that Cade is almost 2 months already, and yet as he lies here in my lap- it's also amazing that he has only been here for 2 months! I feel like he's been here for a year now! He's sleeping in his giraffe footy jammies with his hands on his chest. He looks like a little angel. Well a devilish one at that, with his faux hawk. His hair is getting long except for the back of it, which is rubbing off from sleeping. When he naps during the day, I put him on his belly. I don't want my baby to have a flat head!

1 month, 3 weeks, & 2 days... he laughed today. The smiling started awhile ago. But today, I made him laugh! It was fantastic. Made me giggle. Yesterday, I found out that he really likes the song "Club Can't Handle Me" by Flo Rida. The little guy was kicking and smiling like he was river dancing to it. Hilarious!

He helped me unload the Sequoia for it's BIG departure.... :( He was all chill in his Bjorn. He either falls asleep in it or just does NOT want to be in it. No happy medium.

Now let's talk about his clothing size. The little man is currently in between sizes. He's skinny, but LONG! So he still wears newborn diapers but has to wear 0-3 month sized clothes. They are all baggy on him. It's unbelievable considering how much he eats.

I'm not going to talk about his sleeping at night, bc i DO NOT want to jinx it.

Now, if only I can get him to entertain himself during the day, I can start to get things done. I know I can't expect all greatness too soon. But a girl can wish, right?

I put him in his Bumbo again. I can't for too long, until he REALLY holds his head up well. But he is doing pretty well in it so far.

We are working on getting his upper body strong to crawl & roll over. So I had him on his belly the other day and he went from being completely sprawled out to having his legs underneath like he was gonna crawl. He even lifted his head up. Now we just have to get those arms going.
